"What a designer should know."

Post edited.

I’m going to blog very often, unless some technical problems happen like yesterday. Sounds good? Hehe. And I’m going to change my blog’s title and template tonight hopefully.. if I can make it. It’ll still remain simple, but a better one.

I used to visit Blogskins and enjoyed the templates there, but now I’m not sure anymore.. After owning a graphics site, I’ve learned to respect the term of others and give proper credits before using their properties. But sadly, I found many people so-called themselves as a designer failed to be one in Blogskins. deviantART is a place for artist to share and perform their works, not for the usage of your designs unless otherwise stated. Can’t these people read?

Terms of Service - Copyright
deviantART is, unless otherwise stated, the owner of all copyright and data rights in the Service and its contents. You may not reproduce, distribute, publicly display or perform, or prepare derivative works based on any of the Content without the express, written consent of deviantART. However, DeviantArt does not claim ownership rights in their works or other materials posted by them to deviantART (Their content).

Though you’ve linked dA back, but doesn’t mean you’ve the right to use them. Whereas websites like Stock Xchgn and Getty Images are providing the right resources for the usage of others, not dA. I’m not trying to be harsh to any of these people, but please ask before using other people’s properties.

Please people! Thank you.

can’t wait to see your new BlogSkin. Im sure it’ll look wonderful. :)

Yeah, some people do use peoples work from Da without permission. That’s jsut wrong. They should at least ask the person. *sigh* I too have learned about this through being a webdesigner. It hurts when people don’t credit where it is due.
